Privacy Policy
The short version
NurseDash does not collect your data. There is no account, no sign-up, and no NurseDash server. Everything you put into the app stays on your device and in your own private iCloud. Nothing is sent to us, and nothing is sold or shared with anyone.
What NurseDash stores, and where
- Your school data (courses, deadlines, compliance items, grades you enter, study materials, documents, notes) is stored on your device using Apple's SwiftData and synced only through your own private iCloud account (Apple's CloudKit and iCloud Drive). We cannot see it.
- Your Canvas calendar and announcement feed links are stored in your device's Keychain and synced through iCloud Keychain to your other devices. They are treated as secrets and never logged or transmitted to us.
- App preferences (notification settings, dismissed cards) are stored in standard on-device preferences.
Networking
The only network requests NurseDash makes are:
- Fetching your Canvas calendar/announcement feeds directly from your school's Canvas server, using the link you provide, to display your schedule.
- Apple's iCloud sync, handled by the operating system.
NurseDash contacts no analytics, advertising, or tracking services. There are none in the app.
On-device AI
The optional AI study features (flashcards, quizzes, study sheets, and "Ask your semester") run entirely on your device using Apple Intelligence. Your notes and questions are processed locally and are not sent to us or to any external service.
Tracking
NurseDash does not track you across other apps or websites, and does not show the App Tracking Transparency prompt, because there is nothing to track.
Documents and camera
If you scan or add documents, they are filed into your own Documents storage (on device and your iCloud Drive). The camera is used only for scanning pages you choose to scan. Scanned content is never uploaded to us.
Children
NurseDash is a productivity tool for post-secondary nursing students and is not directed at children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here and in the app.
